Haywood Z. Bankhead was the second child born to the union of Cleveland and Pearl Bankhead. He was born on November 1, 1922 in Corinth, Mississippi.
Haywood proudly served in the United States Army and stationed overseas in World War II. He was joined in holy matrimony with Bernice Brent who preceded him in death.
Haywood and Bernice had no children, but they were exceptional and loving Uncle and Aunt to a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Haywood was employed and retired from Nabisco where he was Head Chef for many years.
Haywood was a kind and loving man and never was lacking in friends. During his later years, he shared life with a close companion, Gladys Galbert who preceded him in death.
Haywood had seven siblings to precede him in death: Flunoid, William, Edward, Mary, Alice, Corrie, and Sarah Jane. He leaves to cherish his memories with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
