Katherlina Davis Obituary

Katherlina Davis was born July 5, F)47, in Lexington, MS to the late Johnnie Davis and Carlena (Smith) Montgomery. Kathy accepted Christ at an early age at Shiloh Baptist Church in Lexington, MS.

Kathy attended Mt. Olive Elementary School and Tchula Attendance Center High School. She worked for R.R. Donnelley for many years, all the while owning her own business. After retiring, Kathy decided to re-invent her life by becoming a Certified Nurse Assistant that she retired from once agam.

Kathy was strong and very independent and lived her life to the fullest. She was one of the classiest, strongest, and courageous black women you could ever meet. Even with declining health, she insisted on being independent.

Kathy loved spending time with family and friends. Kathy would often celebrated birthdays with her sisters and aunt as well lunches and dinners with many friends. She loved to shop and travel with her cousins. Most fond memories are the many parties that she had and spending time with her uncle/brothers.

Preceding her in death was her father Johnnie Davis, mother Carlena Montgomery, son Lee Davis and brothers Wilbert, Willie Earl, Johnnie Jr., Walter and Christopher.

Katherlina leaves to cherish her memory, her son Gregory (Crystal Denise), her grandson Gregory Alexander, granddaughter Amber Iman and great-granddaughter Carmen Denise. Sisters Rebecca, Bennetta, Sylvia, Pam, Linda, Diane, and Debra; brothers Benjamin and Langston; and Aunt Connie. She also leaves to cherish her memories of special cousins Tiffany, Tempress, and Zelda and with a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
