Michael Lynn Williams

Michael Lynn "Mike" Williams was born to the union of Elbert Williams and Helen J. Williams (Smith) on November 20, 1966, in Harvey, IL. He was the third oldest of five children. 

Mike cherished his time spent with his children, family, and friends. He was a big fan of sports, especially football, basketball, and wrestling. He played football for the Harvey Colts and wrestled for the Harvey Twisters as a child, and continued wrestling for the Thornton Wildcats in high school, in which he won a few wrestling medals. In his leisure time, he enjoyed flying drones outside and walking to be a little more active. Overall, he enjoyed watching classic westerns, TV court shows, action movies, and documentaries. 

Mike graduated from Thornton Township High School and served four years in the U.S. Army active duty and twelve more years in the Army Reserves. While in the reserves, he worked multiple jobs including security, janitorial, and maintenance and continued this career after the reserves. He was known to be loving, funny, charismatic, very hard worker, and a leader. Throughout his life, he made friends everywhere he went. He didn't mind helping any and everyone. He was a true giver. 

Mike passed away on October 23, 2023. He was preceded in death by his older brothers, Eric Darnell Williams and Thomas Aaron Williams. 

Mike is survived by his ex-wife Stephanye Williams, daughters; Stephanye Michelle Williams and Dollye R. Williams, only son; Darnell Williams, parents Elbert Williams and Helen Williams, his sister; Yolanda Williams (Mario); and brother; Patrick Williams (LaKesha), and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
