Xavier Demetrius Foster was born on June 8, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois to the union of the late Wiliam Foster and Ardenia Foster.
Xavier was affectionately known as "Big Zay" or "Rico". He made his transition on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 4:15 pm. At an early age, Xavier confessed his love for Christ and joined the Church of God & Christ under the leadership of the late Pastor Gordon.
Xavier accepted Christ as his Savior. He also believed in the power of prayer. He was an active member on the "Prayer Line" until his health failed him. Xavier was faced with many challenges in life; however, he loved the Lord and took every opportunity to discuss scriptures with family and friends.
Xavier attended Chicago Public Schools. He graduated from Christian Fenger High School in 1980. He received his CDL License which allowed him to travel to different states. He later became a successful entrepreneur which allowed him to open his own car business, detailing and servicing cars. Xavier has been described by friends as being a loyal and caring person. He was well loved by many people and his memories will forever live within us.
His father, William Foster and grandmother Maggie Alexander preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish many loving memories, his Mother Ardenia Foster, his brother Tom (Kenosha), Children, Doris, Nicole, Candice, Cassidine (Denise), Xavier (Shay), Carl, Brandy and Mario; five grandchildren, Marcus, Cashiya, Daniah, Xavier Jr. and Zyaire; a special friend, Shante and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
